Garden Tools for Spring & Summer

Garden Tools Every Gardener Needs

No matter what hobby or line of work someone chooses to engage in, it’s important to have the tools necessary to do a great job. However, that doesn’t mean that you need to go overboard and load up on items you don’t actually need. In this article, we will discuss some of the basic garden tools that every gardener needs to enjoy gardening to the fullest.

1. Gloves

Keep your hands safe and clean by investing in a reliable pair of gloves. You want your gloves to be sturdy and durable without being too bulky. In order to prolong the life of your gloves, store them away from insects, water, and the sun when they are not in use.

2. Hand Trowel

Another necessary garden tool that you don’t want to go without is a hand trowel. Use this tool to dig around corners, pull up weeds, plant herbs, and more. For longevity and durability, invest in a hand trowel made of stainless steel.

3. Rake

Every gardener wants their space to stay visually appealing, so make sure that you have a rake on hand to get rid of leaves and other debris. A rake doesn’t have to be expensive, and in return, you can enjoy a neat and tidy garden.

4. Hoe

The fourth tool on our list to keep on hand for gardening is the hoe. A vegetable garden may need a wider and sturdier hoe, versus a perennial garden which may require a thinner hoe. Purchase the right garden hoe for your needs.

Other tools that every gardener should have on hand include a garden hose, loppers, and a wheelbarrow. Don’t feel that you need a long list of items to enjoy gardening. The basics mentioned in this article will be just what you need to get started and have a beautiful and fulfilling garden.
